Motor Control panel

Industrial control panels are custom made at the HWT workshop near Stellenbosch. Panels are tested before delivery and wiring diagrams are supplied. Pre-delivery PLC programming is optional. A motor control centre (MCC) is an assembly of one or more enclosed sections having a common power bus and principally containing motor control units. The motor control centre is an assembly of several motor starters.   A motor control centre can include electrical metering as well as variable frequency drives, direct on line (DOL) and Star-Delta motor starters. The control panel contains the controller which communicates to the motor drives, usually housed in an MCC.  The controller may be a PLC (programmable logic controller) or combination of relays and switches.  Instruments and external inputs such as water level and pressure switches are connected to the control panel. In general, the HWT motor control panels comprise a hybrid of controller and motor starters housed in a single enclosure.
