Rotostab lime doser

The Rotostab lime doser is a simple method developed by HWT to dose lime into winery effluent treatment bioreactors.

Lime dosing can be challenging due to several factors:

• Inconsistent Flow: Lime can form clumps and settle in dosing systems, leading to inconsistent distribution and dosing rates.
• High Maintenance: Lime systems often require frequent cleaning as lime deposits can cause blockages and damage to pipes and equipment.
• Chemical Reactivity: Lime is highly reactive with water, which can create handling difficulties and safety concerns due to heat generation and splashing.
• Slurry Management: Mixing lime into a slurry can be labor-intensive and requires precise ratios to ensure effectiveness without creating excessive waste.
• Environmental Conditions: Dust from dry lime and oversaturation in wet conditions can pose both environmental and health hazards during handling and application.
