The Karsten Welvaart Farm, part of the Karsten Group’s Hoogland Estate near Ceres in the Western Cape, cultivates a variety of deciduous fruits. The estate comprises approximately 157 hectares of apples and pears, 14 hectares of plums, and 14 hectares of cherries. The region’s cold winters and mild summers provide ideal conditions for these crops, particularly benefiting late-season and bi-colour apple varieties.
