At Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate, HWT Water Treatment designed and constructed a winery effluent treatment plant to manage highly variable, high-strength wastewater typical of modern wine production.
Winery effluent presents unique challenges — including seasonal peak flows during harvest, fluctuating pH, and elevated COD levels. The plant was engineered to deliver consistent, compliant discharge under all operating conditions.
